Climate:
The southern
Interior Interior
Plains usually is warmer than the
norhtern Interiour northern Interior
Plains. This is big on the economy of the plains because it effects where you can have a farm (which is a large money maker around the southern Alberta, Saskatchewan and
Manotoba Manitoba
area).
This region is quite dry. The cimate is so hot it can be like a desert.
In the winter, In some places they skate nomater how cold it is. The climate though is perfect for farming, and people have been growing crops in their farmland.

Vegetation & Wildlife:
The Vegetation & Wildlife in the
interior plains Interior Plains
includes
coneferous and deciduis coniferous and deciduous
trees and animals like
Bufflo, Cattle, buffalo, cattle,
White tail deer and
elk thease elk. These
are only a few of the animals that live here.
In this region there oats being farmed. Since there is alot of wheat grown here they call this region the breadbasket of Canada. This soil is great for growing crops and raising animals.There are many floods which could couse damage and now flood ways are being made to control the floods. Acsept flooding is good for farming it makes rich fertile soil.

Terrain:
The terrain in the Interior Plains has rivers,
badlands and badlands, forest, The Rockie Mountains,
prairies and
it
is good for
argraculture. agriculture with very few hills. Lakes have played an inportant part in the Interior Plains Region. First Nations People, Metis People, and Europein explors and traders used them for transportation. The waterway are still inportant for transportaition today. Two of the most inportant rivers are the Red River in Winnepeg and Mackenzie River In Alberta and the Northwest Territories. There is some forestry in the Interior Plains region. Most of Alberta and Saskatchewan and a bit of Manitoba and Northwest Territories are flat, farm areas, with golden wheat. Wheat is a merger crop in the plains. Lots of farmers irrigate their crops. Some rivers/canals freeze over allowing people to skate on them. We live in this region. You can find the Great plains in this region.


Rocks & Minerals:
Lots of the major resources in the
inteior interior
plains include oil, coal, potash,
salt and salt,
natural gas, bitumin and
outher many others
rock sediments.Potash is very rare and we do not give it away for others to use. Bitummin can be refined to make oil. In Canada we use more salt per person than any other Contery in the world. Rocks and Minerals is the biggiest industry of rocks & minerals.

People:

One of the many major activities in the interior plains is the Calgary stampede, the worlds largest rodeo.
This region has many cites such as, Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine hat, Fort McMurry (for oil sands) and Grand prairie.

Economy:

The Interior Plains has a good economy because it has a lot of big citys cities such as Calgary, Edmonten, Edmonton, and many others. Also they They also have a lot money that comes from are the
many resources. The natural resources are so important that over years, they have become a part of the Interior Plains region. Some important natural resource are lumber because of the many forests that are suitable for logging.These trees are used to make furniture and houses.Another natural resource is oil and gas.Alberta is a major area for oil and gas because of all of the oil sands.Another resource is farming.In Alberta they farm canola wheat and cattle because the conditions are good to farm them they mainly farm in Alberta.



Other:

In the US, Interior Plains run between the Appalachian Mountains and the Rocky Mountains. In Canada, the Interior Plains run between the Canadian Shield and the Rocky Mountains. Interior Plains extend from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Ocean. In Canada the Interior Plains cover most of Alberta, some of the Northwest T erritories, most of Saskatchewan and approximetly a little more than a third of Manotoba. Francophone menes french was there first Language. Grain elevators represent more than itself it represents the region.
